1 Mobile - 1 Minute - 1 Movie

For its 11th production event, Mobile Film Festival has launched itself internationally and has announced a partnership with the United Nations on the theme of climate change in the framework of the Climate Change conference COP21 that will be held in Paris in December 2015. For this unique event Mobile Film Festival will have for the first time a theme of « Act on climate change », but it will maintain the rules of its own success : 1 Mobile, 1 Minute, 1 Film. Film directors from all over the world can submit their films in their own language and the subtitles will be taken care of by our partner Dotsub.

« We are very honoured to be assoicated with the United Nations for this globale production and very special Mobile Film Festival », says Bruno Smadja, founder of the Mobile Film Festival. « We wish to give to film directors the world over, the chance to tell their stories and to share their vision in the face of climate change – and this is made possible, thanks to the very economical use - a mobile phone. We also offer the opportunity to a generation of young creators to participate in this massive international event so as to express their vision across films of all genres. »

« We have been supporting MFF for 6 years. We are very enthusiastic about the idea of accompanying Bruno and the festival for this unique event. Being both present in more than 80 countries and a cinema partnership on an international scale, we are also engaged, through the BNP Paribas Foundation in 5 « Climate Initiative » research programs, so to be a partner in this first international production seems to make real sense. We sincerely hope that with the help of this festival, that young cinematograhpers will take the plunge and that their short films will reflect their sentiments towards climate change » confides Bertrand Cizeau, Directeur of Communication at BNP Paribas.

100 films will be selected for the official competition.
