A tasty agreement !

On the occasion of the visit of the Prime Minister Manuel Valls to Ireland, an agreement to develop training in the hotel and catering sectors has been signed

On the occasion of the visit of the Prime Minister Manuel Valls to Ireland, Campus France and the Higher Education Authority (the authority for senior teaching) have signed a protocol agreement with the aim of mobilizing students of hotel, catering and tourism sectors.

These sectors offer a large selection of training programs, especially at the higher level. The diplomas will allow students to have a good position on the job market, which is at the moment really growing. With job placement at the core of this initiative, these courses strongly encourage students to take part in studying or working abroad.

This agreement is aimed at encouraging students to travel. At the moment nearly 500 Irish students visit France every year while 3,300 French students come to Ireland.

The agreement will also involve training institutions on a practical level as well as promoting the hotel and catering sector and its students.

Information offices for internships, alumni networks, recruitment drives, seminars and events will come about as a result of these exchanges among the institutions.

The agreement aims ultimately to create a network of Franco-Irish, senior level teaching institutions.
