COP21: the construction sector is mobilising in Ireland
Wednesday, November 4, the Irish Green Building Council organized a seminar "Shining Light on the Buildings at COP21". It was held in the premises of the European Union in Dublin (Europe House, 12-14 Lower Mount Street).
The seminar addressed the question of reducing greenhouse gas emissions in the building sector in the context of COP21. It gathered both civil society (NGOs, associations), companies and academics.
The exchanges were animated by Professor J Owen Lewis, president of the IGBC and also chair of the Royal Dublin Society Board of Management, after being Chief Executive of Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI) from 2009 to 2012 and Dean of the Faculty of Engineering & Architecture in University College Dublin (UCD) from 2001 to 2006.
