[Contest] "My thesis in 180 seconds... in French!" [fr]

If you are a PhD student and you speak French, join us on the 23rd March for a very special competition that will take place in Dublin, within the frame of the Month of La Francophonie 2017.

This year, on the occasion of the Month of La Francophonie 2017, we are launching the "My Thesis in 180 seconds...in French!" contest, inspired by the popular"Three-Minute thesis" contest.

This contest is open to all disciplines and there are some prizes to win!

When?

Thursday 23rd March, from 5.00 pm to 7.00 pm, Dublin (location to be announced soon).

Who can take part?

The contest is open to doctoral students from all disciplines, registered in an Irish Higher Education Institution.
All nationalities are welcome!

Each participant will present her/his dissertation subject in French in 3 minutes (in 180 seconds) for a general and non-specialist public.
The jury will be composed of Francophone academics, professionals of scientific communication and media, living in Ireland.
Precisions on the competition will be sent to all registered participants.
Prizes: a return ticket to France, a diner in a French restaurant, bottles of French wines...

1. Talent of speaker (6 points)
2. Mediation / outreaching (6 points)
3. Structure of speech (6 points)
4. "Coup de coeur" (2 points)
