The main objective of the Cultural Service of the Embassy of France in Ireland is to define and utilise the cultural, educational and scientific links between Ireland and France.

It is part of a huge network across the world which includes 155 French institutes and cultural centres , consisting of 384 Alliances Francaises and 494 primary and secondary schools who benefit from financial support from the French public sector.

The Cultural service responds to the demands of the Irish public and in return, it informs the different French ministers of any outstanding developments in the cultural, scientific and educational sectors in Ireland and communicates with the Irish authorities to increase any opportunity of relations between the two countries.

Thanks to political invitations and artistic, scientific and educational projects, the cultural service exists to implement and encourage joint projects for which it sometimes provides financial support.
