Economic conference for new models of partnership between France and Africa, chaired by Mr Pierre MOSCOVICI, French Minister of the Economy and Finance (Bercy - Pierre Mendès France conference centre).

Nearly 600 French and African businesses present. Debate and presentation of “Economic Successes”.

Closing speech by the French President.

Thursday 5th December 2013

“The Africa forum - 100 innovations for sustainable development”, chaired by Mr Pascal CANFIN, Minister Delegate for Development, in partnership with the French Development Agency (CCM*).

Based on 800 proposed projects, 21 innovative projects will be presented.

Round table, “Combating the trafficking and poaching of endangered species”, chaired by Mr Philippe MARTIN, French Minister of Ecology, Sustainable Development and Energy, and Mr Nicolas HULOT, Special Representative of the French President for the Protection of the Planet (Hôtel de la Marine).

Friday 6th December 2013

Advocacy meeting on violence against women in conflicts (Musée d’Orsay).

Ms Valérie TRIERWEILER will bring together some 30 participants, spouses of heads of state, government and delegations invited to the summit, for a conference co-chaired by Ms Zainab Hawa BANGURA, Special Representative of the United Nations Secretary-General.

A video message from the French President will be aired on this occasion.
