Franco-Irish Literary Festival 2011
The 12th edition of the Franco-Irish Literary Festival took place on 8-10 April 2011.
Co-organised by the Alliance Française in Dublin and the Cultural Service of the French Embassy, it allows every year writers and literature-lovers to gather together around a common theme.
This year, the theme “Generations” was under the spotlight, and the audience had the opportunity to listen, meet and discuss with :
-*Geneviève Brisac, Virginie Linhart, Phillippe Forest, Eric Fottorino, Véronique Ovaldé, Claude Arnaud (France) ;
-*Micheál Ó Conghaile, Siobhán Parkinson, Caitriona O’Reilly, John Banville, Macdara Woods, Harry Clifton, Keith Ridgway, Paul Murray (Ireland) ;
-*David Homel (Quebec) ;
-*Julia Frank (Germany) ;
-*Carlo Gébler (United-Kingdom).
On Friday 8 April, H.E. Emmanuelle d’Achon, Ambassador of France in Ireland, officially launched the festival in front of a packed audience.
