[Call for Papers] Freedom of Speech in France, Germany and Ireland in Time of Conflict

"Freedom of Speech in France, Germany and Ireland in Time of Conflict" is an event organised by the Newspaper & Periodical History Forum of Ireland together with the French and German Embassies in Ireland and the National Library in Ireland.

The Forum is calling for paper proposals on the following topics: journalism and free speech; reportage in times of conflict; cartoons, satire, and free speech; state censorship; the role of; journalists in reporting conflict; war correspondents; particular news organs, i.e. trench newspapers

The event will take place in the National Library of Ireland on Friday 25 and Saturday 26 November 2016.
