The harvests in the Bourgogne winegrowing region
The first snips of the secateurs could be heard in the vines on 10 September, in particular in those places growing grapes for the production of Crémant de Bourgogne.
This year, because of the uneven harvests due to some tricky springtime weather, some have finished picking whilst others have barely started. Winegrowers are keeping a close eye on their vines more than ever this year, because there can be no wine until the grapes are safely in their vats.
