To fully understand the battles of the First World War, one needs to experience the landscapes first hand.
In the former battlefields of France, there are museums, monuments and cemeteries that tell the story of the Irish soldiers at war and are well worth a visit:

- Remembrance trails in Northern France :

- Remembrance Tourism - Great War Centenary

- Historial de la Grande Guerre
