A new online resource to support teachers of French in Ireland has been launched. The development of the site was initiated by the French Embassy in Ireland and it has been supported throughout by the Department of Education and Science and the National Council for Curriculum and Assessment. The site was designed and constructed by the National Centre for Technology in Education (NCTE) and the Education Department of NUI, Maynooth.
The content of the site has been chosen by practising teachers of French in second level schools in Ireland.

www.French.ie is a colour-coded, user-friendly site. Using the Resource Finder, teachers can access resources on a chosen theme under the headings Listening, Reading, Speaking, Grammar and Vocabulary. _ The site also contains colourful worksheets, games and up-to -date articles, all of which can be easily downloaded for classroom use. A theme-based, monthly dossier lists a wide range of other useful websites. A new page and discussion forum give teachers the opportunity to share information and express opinions on any issues relating to teaching French in Ireland. Allez-y!
